For the third time in three months, Vanguard has reduced the expenses on its exchange-traded funds—this time four growth and value ETFs and one international ETF benefited.
Already providing some of the lowest-cost ETFs in the marketplace among comparable products, four of the ETFs recently lowered expense ratios by nearly 10%, and the other dropped 20%.
Lowest average cost ETFs in the industry
Our cost advantage keeps getting stronger every year, and as we achieve greater economies of scale, we would expect our expense ratios to drop even further. The average expense ratio of Vanguard ETFs (0.16%) is less than half the industry average (0.53%), based on data as of December 31, 2007.1
